This Privacy Policy explains how LaxRise ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information from people who visit laxrise.com or subscribe to our newsletter, the Sunday Rise Brief.
What we collect
We only collect information you give us directly. Specifically:
- Email address — when you complete the Rise Score quiz or otherwise sign up for the newsletter.
- Quiz responses — the answers you provide to the 14 Rise Score questions, which we use to compute your player's Rise Score, band, percentile, and sub-index scores.
- Basic analytics — standard, privacy-respecting page-view information (referrer, country, device type). We do not use third-party advertising trackers, and we do not collect personally identifying information beyond what you submit yourself.
How we use it
- To send you your Rise Score and follow-up emails (including the Sunday Rise Brief).
- To improve the quiz and our editorial coverage based on aggregate, non-identifying patterns.
- To respond to you if you reply to an email or contact us directly.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your information.
- We do not trade or rent your information.
- We do not share your information with clubs, recruiting services, training programs, or any third party other than the service providers listed below.
- We do not use your information for behavioral advertising.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of vendors to operate the newsletter. They process your information only on our behalf and only to provide their service:
Children
LaxRise is intended for parents and guardians of youth lacrosse players. The quiz collects information about a player (age, position, level) but is filled out by the parent. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please email hello@laxrise.com and we will delete it promptly.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe — every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom. Once you unsubscribe, we stop sending you email immediately.
- Access or delete your data — email hello@laxrise.com and we will provide a copy of the information we hold about you or delete it within 30 days.
- Cookies — laxrise.com uses only essential cookies necessary to operate the site.
Data retention
We retain your email address and quiz responses for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we keep your email on a suppression list so we don't accidentally email you again, but we delete your quiz responses within 30 days.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards (TLS encryption in transit, access controls on our subscriber data, vetted vendors) to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will notify you promptly as required by law.
Changes
If we update this policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be communicated to subscribers by email.
